Thirteenth Day
(05/29/2005)

We spent the night in the nicest hotel of the trip. It was about 35 Euro a person, and very comfortable. In this hotel we had an almost perfect American (Ritz) type breakfast.

This is our hotel and the breakfast

After breakfast we visited the Hoge Veluwe National Park. In this park just like everywhere in the Netherlands they prefer visitors to use bikes instead of cars. There are huge parking areas at the entrance with free bikes for every visitor. We enjoyed our bike ride a lot. It was amazing to think that less than 24 hours ago we were walking on the glacier in Austria.

" National Park De Hoge Veluwe is one of the Netherlands' oldest and largest national parks. It consists of no less than 5,500 hectares of woodland, heathland, lakes and driftsand. Together with the Kroller-Muller Museum and the sculpture garden it offers a unique combination of nature, art and architecture." (http://www.hogeveluwe.nl/content/default.asp?action=mainpage&id=40)
