The name Cinque Terre means
"The Five Lands" comprises five fishing villages: Monteresso,
Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. This area is
part of a National Park and has been a UNESCO World Heritage
Site for sometimes. The area most noted for carefully built
cultivated terraces on the rugged steep landscape overlooking
the Mediterranean sea.
We had a great time there, but because of all the rain during the last two weeks the path between the villages was closed so we had to use the train or the boat to get around.
